Cotton Farming in the Brazos Valley

Learn the history of cotton farming as it developed in the Brazos Valley. On exhibit are authentic tools such as a cotton gin, scale, planter, plow, and forge, as well as the world's oldest cotton bale!
Ranching and Chuck Wagon Display
While enjoying the Astin Galleries, be sure to see our chuck wagon! Rebuilt by rancher Mervin Peters, this chuck wagon was originally purchased at the Parker Astin Hardware Store in downtown Bryan. Firearms representing the evolution of cowboy guns along with other ranching and cowboy items are also on display.
