T-REX ROUNDUP Sponsorship
Dear Friend,
On behalf of the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, I would like to ask for your support with our upcoming fundraiser, the T-REX ROUNDUP!
On Saturday, May 16th, the Museum will host a barbeque dinner and dance at the Brazos Center, Bryan (pre-event activities and cash bar 6pm; dinner 7pm; dance 8pm) with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Museum. Music will be provided by Shawn Jennings and the Southern Roots Band. Activities include a Children's Art Contest (winner to be announced that evening); T-REX Roping (we'll show you how!); a Cowboy Hat Contest; a special Night at the Museum for children; and more.
The Museum will also be raffling some unique items throughout the evening including:
- a diamond necklace from David Gardner's Jewelers
- 3 large Ammonites and a Brazos Valley Fossil collection
- a marble topped table and granite cutting board
- a hand tufted wool rug
- a framed Benjamin Knox lithograph
- and a genuine T-REX TOOTH.
Raffle tickets are $10 each or 11 for $100.
We hope you will join us by sponsoring this event. Sponsorship levels range from $500 to $3,000; read more about sponsorship levels [PDF]. Sponsors will be acknowledged at the event, on our website, and in event related promotional material. Individual tickets are also available for $60 each, student tickets for $50, and children's for $40.
Each year, the Museum reaches over 30,000 citizens and visitors to the Brazos Valley with tours, lectures, exhibits, classes, special events, and outreach programs for all ages. Exhibits and programs focus on natural and cultural history, science education, and encourage the responsible stewardship of natural resources. In cooperation with the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley and others, we also exhibit "nature art", cultural art, and conduct programs on art and archaeology.
This past year the Board of Trustees and staff have worked hard to update the museum. A few of our accomplishments include: renovated offices and galleries; new computers and software; redesign of exhibits; and a new look for our logo, exhibit calendar, newsletter, and postcards/posters. We also expanded our Texas history fair, Boonville Days; offered adult lectures; created Nature Watch, a feature of Bravo Brazos Valley on WTAW; and hosted a Salute to Tom Turbiville at the Miramont Country Club. Please check out our new website for more information on our activities.
These accomplishments and programs are only possible thanks to the support of many individuals, businesses, and other institutions. The Museum is a charitable organization; all our funding comes from contributions and grants, and your sponsorship is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
I hope that you will join our expanding circle of friends as a sponsor for the T-REX Roundup on May 16th.
We guarantee you an exciting evening to kick up your heels, have a roarin' good time, and support your Brazos Valley, your Museum!
Best wishes,
Deborah F. Cowman, Ph.D.
