Summer Nature Camp

Summer Nature CampThe Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History announces their Summer Nature Camp program from June 10 – August 23, 2013. Member registration begins April 8th and open registration begins May 6th.

An educational experience awaits your child at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History’s annual Summer Nature Camps! Studying science and history helps children to know and understand the world around them. The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History offers children this opportunity in a safe, fun, and educational setting. Through non-traditional teaching techniques, campers are encouraged to explore science, animal behavior, history, and their local environment using interactive lessons and educational games and crafts.

This year’s weekly themes include: exploring the milky way; art in nature; slugs and bugs; pirates; egyptian mysteries; prehistoric pals; going green; engineering for kids; and zoology 101. The summer extension day camp from August 19-23th explores your senses (sight, smell, taste, hearing, and touch)!
