The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History’s event on January 8, 2015, at the Miramont Country Club, is SOLD OUT! Table sponsors who have unfilled seats, may donate them back to the Museum to be sold. Please let the Museum know ASAP; there is a waiting list for tickets to the event.

The tribute is a wonderful opportunity to thank Royce for all of the outstanding support he has given to our community over the years. It will be an evening filled with great food, humorous and entertaining stories, music, and fun.

About Royce Hickman

Royce Hickman is the President/CEO of the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce, a position he has held since January of 1998. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1964 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and served two years as a Lieutenant in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967.

His forty-five-plus year business career includes serving as the Vice President – Finance, Secretary and member of the Board of Directors for Associated Credit Services in Houston. He is a past member of the Executive Committee of the Texas Association of Business, a past Chairman of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives (TCCE), and in June of this year was presented the 2014 Distinguished Service Award by TCCE.

He is a past president of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students, a past president of the friends of the Sterling C. Evans library and in 2007 was presented with the International Excellence Award in the Community by Texas A&M University. He currently serves on the George Bush School of Government and Public Services Development Council, the Texas A&M Career Center Advisory Council and the Bush School Public Service Organization Advisory Board. He also serves on the March of Dimes Board and on several committees at his Church.

He and his lovely wife Mary have been married 52 years and reside in College Station. They have 2 children and 2 children by marriage and 6 grandchildren and two grandchildren by marriage.

The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History proudly announces the raffle of a beautiful David Yurman necklace during After Hours: a Tribute to Royce Hickman. The necklace is sterling silver and features a Black Orchid center stone and four black onyx additional stones. This stunning piece, priced at $3,500, was generously donated by David Gardner’s Jewelry.  Raffle tickets are $25 a piece or 5 for $100; and can be purchased at the Museum, from Board Members, or at the After Hours tribute.  Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.
