Week 1
June 7-June 11: Safari 101
We’ll learn about different types of safaris, safari activities from around the world, and about the wildlife you could encounter while on safari. So pack up for an offbeat exploration at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History.
Week 2
June 14-June 18: Dig This!
What prehistoric giants once inhabited the Brazos Valley? Come be a part of this prehistoric adventure as we learn all about popular dinosaurs as well as some of the latest discoveries. Your child will have the opportunity to learn about prehistoric animals while viewing the Museum’s Ice Age and Dinosaur Fossil exhibitions.
Week 3
June 21-June 25: Color Our World: Art in Nature
How do the sights, sounds, and smells of nature inspire artists? Let your child embrace their artistic side! We will teach them how to use their experiences in the natural world to create their very own inspired masterpieces.
Week 4
June 28-July 2: The Great Outdoors
We’ll venture outdoors for a great adventure, a one of a kind experience! Come with us as we learn about natural
disasters and how famous landmarks were created. Your child will also have fun exploring camping and outdoor safety techniques – to better enjoy the great outdoors!
Week 5
July 5-July 9: Where the Fish Are
Jump in for a fun-filled week of watery fun. We’ll explore the depths of the oceans as well as the waterways in our own backyards. Join us this week as we learn everything from how water played a role in early trade to the
importance of conserving this precious resource.

Week 6
July 19-July 23: Crazy Critters
Why do earthworms need to stay moist? Do frogs always lay their eggs in water? There is so much to explore when we study crazy critters! Join us this week as we better understand the important role of “creepy crawlies” in our ecosystem. Your child will get hands-on experience with these crazy critters!
Week 7
July 26-July 30: The Six Flags Over Texas
What countries ruled over Texas and what influence did they have on the Lone Star State? Children will learn
firsthand the challenges Texas faced during the historic Civil War as they tour and visit the Museum’s latest
exhibition: Lee and Grant.
Week 8
August 2-August 6: My First Garden
Your child will learn about famous gardens from around the world, the benefits of gardens in their own backyards, and everything else they need to start their first garden!
Week 9
August 9-August 13: Tech 2010
We’ve come a long way since wagon wheels, telegraphs, and wood fire stoves. What in the world will the future bring? Join us as we learn about the benefits of technology and how life today is different because of it.
